Today i did some mini shoots in the Adelaide Hills. Gorgeous winter day, filtered sunlight, rolling hills, and kids that melted your heart!!

I am having a ball in South Australia, and today was no exception,

This week I am in South Australia, mentoring young photographers in different aspects of photography.

Today was spend with the lovely Cheryl, teaching her about how to find good light no matter where you are shooting, composing families, photographing families, off camera flash and photoshop! It was a huge day!

These are the shots I grabbed quickly from our teaching set up , we had the amazingly gorgeous Tanya with her 4 BLUE eyed children with us today . It is almost too easy to get fantastic shots when your subjects are so darn beautiful!

I am doing another day tomorrow with 3 ladies, so stay tuned for those images! Then a few days rest before I fly home to Brissie . I must admit I am enjoying being pampered by my soul sister Helenand her familiy ( which just feels like my own family really!) while I stay here in Adelaide!!

Just a divine session to end the week , easy and fun they made my work a breeze!

Little star of the show *N* and his gorgeous little bother *M* are children at my son’s school.

*N*’s mum is an ex Bollywood star, and wanted some shots to send abroad to India for her son.

We met after school and I snapped a few images for her, easy targets with such amazing eyes, and such a willingness to show their spirit

I had the funniest, and most challenging shoot I have had to do in a while today!

Little 2 weeks old Te Ariki ( he is called ever) , and his 18 month old completely gorgeous sister Honey nevaeh.

Little Ever was awake and awake and awake ….and awake

We had everyone working overtime on little Mister E. His gorgeous Nan, his beautiful ( really beautiful!) mum Angel ( great names huh!!) and his doting Dad Ricky!

This amazing family drove hours and hours to see us, so there was no coming back for shots not done!

Having said that, I think we got some amazing images, and even if little Ever was wide awake, he was never really grumpy!

I had day two today for a mentoring session , teaching lighting, photographing children, and photoshop.

Tiring but rewarding , we had some lovely models. Our aim was for ‘difficult ages” and learning how to capture them without making the event stressful for anyone.

I think the days went really well, and I enjoyed them thoroughly!

I have newborns for the rest of the weeks and some maternity shoots, before I head off to South Australia on another mentoring trip!

Life is busy, but very enjoyable

Nick has not seen Sarah in over 2 months since they live at opposite ends of the world! This weekend they finally got together again, and wanted some images to capture their love.

What an amazing shoot, wonderful light, gorgeous couple, and a passion and love you could almost feel!

Just so enjoyable to photograph, I was in heaven!

I am teaching a young photographer how to take images of children ( today was “difficult ages” ) We had the absolute pleasure of photographing little Dash who is one year old and Maddie, who as it turned out , turned 3 today!

Maddie was shy and timid, then relaxed and let us see her beautiful smile. Thank you so much for bringing her to us!
Dash was a ball of fun, vry expressive and sweet , he was a typical boy and a typical one year old! ( one of the hardest ages to photograph in my opinion!)

The day was all about finding the light in boring situations, making the most of the places you have to shoot, finding the spot! I am finding I really LOVE teaching , and seeing people start to get it!!

I have such wonderful clients who come in ( on a next to no notice) for us !! We are very grateful.

I just love my job, how wonderful for me to get to meet amazing people, expecting new life, there is no greater pleasure.

This gorgeous couple were so in love and just SO beautiful, can you imagine their baby! I can’t wait!!!

We had been planning this shoot for a while, having to re schedule twice no due to rain, it was not looking good this afternoon with big storm clouds above. However when we got to the location, the heavens opened and we has the most gorgeous light to shoot in!

This amazing family were wonderful, seriously good kids, 3 boys ( little Milo with his long hair!) and a little princess Layla x

families…sigh apart from newborns they are my favourite subjects to shoot !

I was asked to cover this event, and also take some head shots for the mediums involved . It was such a fun day, full of interesting people , stories and insights. I had a ball!

This event as held by Fiona, Jae and Jo, together they are helping the homeless through amazing events like these! A LOT of work and engery goes into organising big events ( I know that well!) So hats off to them for the effort and the drive to make this happen.

Giverny had her baby! Giv lived with us during her teens, so this little baby feels like my grand baby! Much loved, very beautiful and as placid as they come.

Pheonix , giv and keith came over today for a visit , she is just 4 days old, how could I resist not taking some snaps whilst she was here?

I am looking forward to a longer session with her next week , in the meantime ~ Intorducing Pheonix x

I had some down time today due to this awful afternoon weather we have been having !!

Luckily it freed me up to tick some things off my to do list.

One of those things was to prepare a DVD for an event I am photographing ( if you like spiritual things , this might interest you http://www.seqreaders.com/)

…..as I was going through my images, I was pulling out shots that meant something to me . Shoots that just worked, difficult shoots to master, fun memories, amazing clients, shots that sing to me as the photographer. I decided to put them together as a little slide show .
